On October 17 & 18 2014, Arise! Ukraine & Sioux Falls First hosted a clothing drive to aid hundreds of Ukrainian refugees with warm clothing and supplies.

Dozens of volunteers spent time collecting, sorting and packing warm clothing and supplies for the people of Ukraine. By the time the clothing was shipped, 645 boxes were headed to the Ukraine.

The clothing made it into the hands of the needy in the East! Praise God!

The team in Ukraine collected pictures of people in eastern Ukraine receiving the clothing, hats, coats, jackets, gloves, blankets, etc. that YOU helped collect, sort, pack and send.

The gratitude among these people runs very deep. As you know, many are simply living hand-to-mouth, unable to move from the conflict zone for various reasons. They are especially grateful for the high quality of goods that were sent. One woman was reported to have cried when she saw the excellent quality and condition of the clothing.

We are grateful for everyone who helped with the clothing drive. It was amazing to see how many boxes were sent and how quickly we raised the funds needed to send the clothing. Your generosity has been felt by the needy in Eastern Ukraine. That being said, we are most grateful to God for his provision and guidance.

“…only they would have us remember the poor, which very thing I was eager to do.” (Galatians 2:10)
